My mission is grounding heaven on earth by strengthening our oneness with Nature.
I speak about and work with Mother Nature as our teacher and healer as we design and develop regenerative communities.
Through my spiritual practice I have come to believe Justice is first experienced as inner balance and then spread throughout our social and economic systems.
I have been an entrepreneurial manager in California, Oklahoma, Washington D.C., Virginia, and New York, designing and launching programs with national impact over 40 years. When you invite me to your community we will strengthen our inner and outer resilience in relationship with one another.
As Grandmother, theologian, and permaculture professor, I teach that the Divine Feminine is a necessary component to our ecological and spiritual work.
A Bible student since the age of eight, I have certifications as a yogini in Kashmir Shaivism; Odincini in Akan Spiritual United Order; pastor and spiritual director in United Church of Christ. I now study the medicine wheel in my Mig Maw (Mic Mac) lineage. By engaging our oneness with Creator, nature and one another we can calm our social crises and climate chaos.
After training young adults in sacred ecology, I co-founded Soil & Souls with my students, Jason Lindsay and Darciea Houston. Soil & Souls is a worker-owned native and medicinal plant nursery that provides leadership training and community education in resilience. We are currently working to secure 102 acres of land in the Hudson Valley, New York, to train 300 resilience leaders from 30 U.S. communities that need the most assistance. In order to secure land, I convened the Indigenous Mothers Land Trust to ensure sovereignty for workers and Indigenous wisdom.
Nature holds secrets to our personal inner peace as well as peace on earth. This devotional comments on scripture, offers prayers, and asks questions as a layered way to unveil those secrets.
